By placing an order on our website, you are agreeing to our policy that all sales are final. No refunds will be given under any circumstances.

We are open to listening to all reasonable offers on ALL geckos, but please do not be offended if we decline. 

ALL CRESTED GECKO PURCHASES ARE FINAL

We will NOT offer refunds under any circumstances. Only order if you are 100% sure you have the funds, experience, and knowledge to care for a crested gecko. You must be 18 years or older to purchase an animal from us. 

 

SHIPPING​​

(1) TIME FRAME: Shipments must be scheduled on Monday, Tuesday, or Wednesday.  Please schedule 1 day in advance so we have time to process and plan your shipment. You must schedule shipping or contact us about shipping within 14 days of ordering. If you have any questions or concerns, please email us at Academygeckos@gmail.com and we will be happy to help you!

(2) TEMPS: You are responsible for checking your weather prior to scheduling shipping. Temperatures must be between 40F - 90F degrees in order for us to ship. Although we generally check temperatures before shipments, it is your responsibility to check proper temperatures in your area prior to scheduling a shipment. We will hold any shipments we consider unsafe. If your area does not have safe shipping temperatures at the time of your purchase we are happy to hold your animal(s) until safe shipping weather is reached, at no charge to you. You MUST notify us within 14 days of ordering if we will need to hold on to your animal. 

(3) SHIPPING CHARGE: Shipping is a flat rate of $65. All Crested Geckos (regardless of how many you order) have a flat rate shipping of $65 to anywhere in the contiguous United States.

(4) SHIPPING LOCATIONS:  We currently do not ship to Alaska, Hawaii, or internationally.

(5) SHIPPING ADDRESS: Please double check the shipping information you provide when ordering from us. In addition to your address, we require your preferred Fedex shipping address where we will HOLD your gecko until you arrive. We require your email and phone number. This information is required for FedEx Live Animal Shipments. If a wrong shipping address is provided our LIVE ARRIVAL GUARANTEE is void. 

(6) SHIPPING TO A FEDEX LOCATION: We require our animals to be shipped to a Fedex Hub near you.  We will require your zipcode to verify with you which Febex Hub is the closest. Please note FedEx Office & Print and FedEx Kinkos locations WILL NOT accept live animal shipments. Geckos delivered to a FedEx location need to be picked up within (1) hour of delivery. If the package gets rejected by your FedEx office or you fail to pick up your Crested Gecko within (1) hour of delivery our LIVE ARRIVAL GUARANTEE is void. In rare cases we may ship to your home, such as if there is no hub near you but this will be on a case by case basis.

(7) DISCLAIMER: We have the right to cancel any scheduled shipping orders for any reason whatsoever. In the rare instance this might happen, we will notify you via the email you provide when checking out.

D.O.A’s ( DEAD ON ARRIVAL)

In the extremely rare case an animal is Dead On Arrival, which died during shipment, you must contact us within 1 hour of delivery. Photographic/video evidence is required. If the shipment followed all of our Live Arrival Guarantee Conditions, then compensation will be issued in the form of a replacement or store credit. Refunds will not be issued under any circumstances.

GECKO TAILS

Although it is rare for geckos to drop their tail during shipment, it has and can happen. Although it is rare for geckos to drop their tail at any given time without reason, it has and can happen. This does not reduce the value or effects the quality life of the gecko. We do our best to ensure geckos stay in a peaceful environment while with us and are carefully packaged during shipment, but losing a tail can still happen. If a gecko drops its tail before shipment or during shipment, we will not offer any partial refunds or returns. 

GECKO COLORS

We provide clear and accurate photos and videos of each gecko under studio light. We do not alter the color of our photos.  With that being said, crested geckos can change their color for a number of reasons (ie. stressed, excited, cold, wet, in shed). In addition, the display screens you are viewing our geckos on can also vary greatly (ie. desktop screens, laptops, phones, blue screen, privacy screens, fluorescent lights, et.c). Therefore, we do not offer color guarantees on our geckos. The gecko you see on the website is what your gecko will look like in person.

SEXING POLICY/PORE SEXING

Pore sexing is not a reliable method of identifying the sex of young male and female geckos.  All geckos geckos are considered unsexed until they show obvious signs of being a female or male.  We list all geckos to the best of our ability and knowledge with the following terms: male, female, possible female, possible male, unsexed. 

LOCAL PICKUP

Local pickups can sometimes be arranged on a case-by-case basis, but cannot be guaranteed. Please contact me at Academygeckos@gmail.com about the possibility to arrange a local pickup in the South Florida area.

ABANDONED ORDERS

(1) FAILURE TO SCHEDULE A SHIPPING DATE: If you fail to schedule a shipping date or reach out to us in regards to a shipping date via email at Academygeckos@gmail.com within 14 days of ordering, the gecko will become property of Academy Geckos. NO REFUNDS (neither cash or store credit) will be given. 

(2) EXTENDED HOLDS: While we are happy and more than willing to hold on to geckos ordered for a number of reasons, (shipping not available due to weather or plans to add more geckos to an order for example) geckos that spend more than 3 months with us without a shipment being scheduled or no contact made in 3 months will be considered abandoned. These geckos will once again become the property of Academy Geckos, and NO REFUNDS (neither cash nor store credit) will be given. Obviously, exceptions will be made for extreme weather circumstances if shipping cannot be accomplished. However, if no contact is made to us from the buyer after 3 months all geckos and payments will be forfeit. 

 

LIVE ARRIVAL IS GUARANTEED ONLY WHEN

(1) Temperatures are safe between 40F-90. We usually check the temperatures before shipping and will hold any shipments we consider unsafe. Guaranteeing safe shipping temperatures in your area is your responsibility. We may choose to not ship your animal at any time if we feel it is unsafe. If you do not have safe shipping weather at the time of your purchase, we are happy to hold your animal(s) until safe shipping weather is reached at no extra charge.

(2) Geckos delivered to a FedEx location need to be picked up within (1) hour of delivery. This is to ensure the animals' safety and verify the animals are alive. If the package gets rejected by your FedEx office (you MUST make sure your hub receives live animals) or you fail to pick up your Crested Gecko within (1) hour of delivery our LIVE ARRIVAL GUARANTEE is void. We do ask that after you have picked up your animals to verify that it is alive as soon as possible.
